I lived in CT and my Brother has for 4 decades. Please allow me to explain why this is not bs:
most of the Country geographically speaking has 0 people tested positive in most Counties in the whole State. The second largest category is 1-4 people infected in the whole County. Please, let us heal these few people without barraging us with more infected people!
We can turn this corner very quickly throughout MOST of the Country if we just stop spreading it. NY has almost half the cases in the whole Country. The tri State metro area is impossible to control, so NJ and CT have to be lumped in with NY.
We could all go back to work safely Monday if we had 5 billion HCQ pills to give every man woman and child in the Country 15. We don't. (Assuming we have enough supply of z pack to treat all the sick) If we give 0 to those in flyover Country with 0 people tested positive and 9 to everyone else, we might be able to do that with only 2 billion. We have millions. Domestic production has restarted in WV, with product scheduled to ship in late April.
NY has most of the supply of HCQ and is hoarding it. Not even giving it to infected people unless they're hospitalized, at risk of dying, AND in the half of a clinical trial that isn't just given a placebo. In light of this, sealing the State lines is the only sensible course of action. This isn't forever. Should be over before Memorial Day. Plan roadtrips! Gas will still be cheap all summer.
