You forgot the part about the Dems and Romney (but I repeat myself) spending all their time and 100% focus on impeaching this fine man. Thank God (and I mean that sincerely) they didn’t get their way and be allowed to call witnesses. Can you imagine? They wanted to drag this thing out much longer.

Trump cut off travel to/from China while your favs in Congress were just focused on impeachment. Good thing our beloved President was focused on more. Pelosi, Nadler, and Schiff said there could be no issue more important. Think about that. They cost the nation dearly.

Trump told them the virus was a threat. Nancy Pelosi tore up his speach. That’s how focused she was on the things that mattered.

Fortunately Trump was far bigger than they were, and attempted to put whatever time he could between impeachment hearings into pressing world issues - like the biggest fucking virus to hit in decades. Shame on the democrats. They will go down in history as the party so asleep at the wheel that they were trying to impeach the man single-handed focused on trying to save our country from real (not imagined) problems.

Do you hate them as much or more than you hate logic and truth?

Well then you should be able to admit that if the Dems had had their way, they would have been calling impeachment witnesses through March, and this situation would be far more tragic. Hell, Pelosi held up sending the articles over for weeks. Why? Was she trying to cause a National tragedy? Or just so short-sighted that she forgot she had a nation to try to lead and protect?

He could have done everything he was accused of and it wouldn’t even be a crime, much less an impeachable offense.

That said, from the first day I ever heard about this I said that it’s not a good look for a President to do this. I thought if congress wanted to send a message, the appropriate thing to have done was pass a little censure resolution.

Trump said his call was ‘perfect’. The house said it was ‘impeachable’. How did we get to such extremes? Pass a censure if you want to let future Predidents know that’s not considered good behavior. All Presidents may do it, we don’t know, because we’ve seen only the call of one private conversation from one President. Release all of Obama’s transcripts and let’s see if we can find anything to get upset about.

Can you imagine how much worse off we would be if congress had stayed focused on impeachment 2 more months? A tragedy. Dodged only because the senate republicans took a stand, and our President remained focused on the task at hand as best he could.

Trump supporters try to align with reality so most of us knew the shampeachmnet was a political hit job which would be stopped in the Senate. We were right.
