Fortunately Trump was far bigger than they were, and attempted to put whatever time he could between impeachment hearings into pressing world issues - like the biggest fucking virus to hit in decades. They will go down in history as the party so asleep at the wheel that they were trying to impeach the man single-handed focused on trying to save our country from real (not imagined) problems.

Trump said his call was ‘perfect’. The house said it was ‘impeachable’. How did we get to such extremes? Pass a censure if you want to let future Predidents know that’s not considered good behavior. All Presidents may do it, we don’t know, because we’ve seen only the call of one private conversation from one President. Release all of Obama’s transcripts and let’s see if we can find anything to get upset about.
Can you imagine how much worse off we would be if congress had stayed focused on impeachment 2 more months? A tragedy. Dodged only because the senate republicans took a stand, and our President remained focused on the task at hand as best he could.
