Honestly I don't get the 'no signs of slowing' stuff.
I mean when you are ramping up testing so quickly, you'd expect a corresponding spike is reports of cases, no?
Describing the situation 10 days ago to a friend I said:
Panic has reached critical mass. People are starting to panic simply because others are panicking. Have to ride emotional wave out, and take ownership of it. At this point you have to get in front of it or you look like an asshole.
There will be increased testing, this will lead to a spike in cases, and will lead to the peak in panic (assuming msm follows the usual course)
About a 7-10 days after that people who what WuFu will start to recover, mortality rate will be heavily questioned, and put a big dent into panic for people not too far gone.
Since then we have learned about the disgustingly flawed basic methodology of calculating the fatality original rate via WHO, have a very promising treatment that will certainly avoid hospital shortages, and a natrually plummeting infection rate due to the extreme measures already taken.

Number of dead each day is rising.. So its hard for Trump to do anything but ratchet up the measures designed to slow the spread..
It is increasing. Will it keep going or just plateau? When will it plateau and then fall?
I happen to think it will end up like a bad flu - but we will see.
