"This list is advisory in nature. It is not, nor should it be considered, a federal directive or standard. Additionally, this advisory list is not intended to be the exclusive list of critical infrastructure sectors, workers, and functions that should continue during the COVID-19 response across all jurisdictions. Individual jurisdictions should add or subtract essential workforce categories based on their own requirements and discretion. "
I think it was more in response to my shithole state (NJ.) When Murphy's admin was pressed on why gun shops aren't essential, they defaulted to "we were just following federal guidelines."
Ha. I just posted that excerpt. Yup. Pretty sweet that he included it, but like a good President, he’s not overreaching with federal power, even when it makes sense to.
This is one of the main reasons why every OP should include a link to the source instead of just a screenshot. A headline can be misleading, and even if it isn't, it never tells the whole story.
Even when it's easy to find, OPs should ALWAYS do us the courtesy and favor to provide a link to the source.
I know it doesn't make a difference being just me, but I don't even upvote posts that don't offer a link to the online source (unless there isn't one) instead of, or in addition to, a screenshot.
I almost always comment about it when I see posts that only provide a screenshot, but I haven't noticed these comments disappearing. They could have disappeared and I just don't know about it, but I fail to understand why posts requesting links rather than screenshots would be censored, if that has happened.
We should all comment against screenshots without links.
Doesn't appear that I can DM/PM here but some to r/thingsandstuff (on reddit), go to the most recent post and I'll send you the info on why that happens.

I can't find this news/announcement elsewhere
SPEZ: Thus is technically true but seriously misleading.

The DHS guidelines list as essential:
Workers supporting the manufacturing of safety equipment and uniforms for law enforcement, public safety personnel, and first responders.
Workers supporting the operation of firearm or ammunition product manufacturers, retailers, importers, distributors, and shooting ranges.
Also says this though:

Oh so, it isn’t binding, and liberal mayors can wipe their ass with it
Yeah
I want to have a protest, just to see if they will arrest, and then sure their asses for violating the first amendment

This. Unlike libtards, we like to know exactly wtf we're talking about. Especially on an issue this important.
The more of this I see the happier I get.

Here is the article of the screenshot:

I made the same argument in another thread and my post was mysteriously deleted, despite a bunch of upvotes and related discussion.
That's strange.

I did so earlier tonight, and got called a moron.
