While I didn't expect them to order gun sales stopped, I certainly didn't expect them to single out gun sellers (and manufacturers) as essential. I kind of just expected them to not say anything about it and leave it to the Supreme Court to make a ruling.
This has a bigger meaning but I'm not quit sure I know what it is.
I guess the spirit of it is that guns are essential to upholding the constitution, no matter how much Democrats would like you to forget that in a time of crisis.
You and I know that, but do you think bureaucrats see it that way? One of the things that made me so hesitant about voting for Trump in '16 was his prior statements about gun ownership. I always got the impression he was lukewarm about the whole thing...at best., so I would be surprised if he was the one who gave the order. But, maybe he did.
