Well that's the important info.

Not catching this stuff is pretty easy. Per the Dr: contact with the virus from hand to face is the primary route. Don't do that.

Also possible by being in close quarters with someone infected for 15+ minutes. Some stores are hard to get out of in less than 15 minutes. Probably doesn't count as "close quarters" the whole time. A mask will primarily enforce discipline to not touch face.
