In all seriousness I recently talked about this with a lefty type who's response was "No You!".
The thing is, Trump may end up looking bad. If he really starts wrecking Biden then yes it comes across as 'elder abuse' or like the OP puts it. I think Trump would feel a little bad too.
Then there is the very realistic possibility they don't allow Biden to debate Trump on stage together. They will pretend Biden doesn't want to 'normalize Trump' or that Biden is going to 'call them off' because Trump went too far.. some nonsense.
So, seriously, I think Trump wins biggest by just putting off debates, ambiguous then doesn't have time to debate Biden.
