My next door neighbor is a admin at a large Sentara facility. All I hear from her is fear mongering as they are being led by WHO guidelines to expect the worst. "It's going to get bad" "We are in for the fight of our lives" "We are on the front lines and placing our lives on the line, bla bla bla. The STATE where I live has a total of 99 hospitalizations STATEWIDE! and 739 total positive cases. The area this hospital serves has 11 total positive, unknown how many hospitalized. I have gotten to the point I can't stand to be around her because I know she is feeding BS.

Whole ICU now respiratory isolation meaning cannot enter without Mask
4 patients on ventilator
NO deaths
1 patient on ventilator 3 weeks ago so a slow ramp up of cases
Management is of course prepping for the doomsday scenario
I had to see a patient in the ED and it was really quiet
Went to surgery and things are quiet since no elective surgeries
Get constant warnings about worst case scenarios from higher ups
Overall superb professionalism just grumbling from frontline nurses
