I have them all in my video collection, James Garner has to be one of the best actors ever.

He also had a respectable military carrier

I also have most of his films, he really was one of the best actors of his day, and extremely versatile.

I loved Rockford files as a kid and watched it again as an adult many times. Can you imagine what the old late great Hollywood actors who saw the country through world war two would think of their "contemporaries" today? People like Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, etc... They must be spinning in their graves.

James Garner also was a highly capable driver, did his own stunt driving in the show and owned a race team in the late 1960's. My favorite film of his is Duel at Diablo. If you haven't seen it you're in for one of the best westerns ever made.

Ha! My housemates and I used to watch RF in the late afternoon after coming home from class, when I was in college. Good stuff!

Really awesome to re-watch a lot of the shows from the 70's and see names and faces of people who would go on to bigger things. Caught Nick Nolte playing a doctor in a bit role on emergency a few months back.
