I just looked into this after you posted and couldn't find evidence. 4 people were killed in shootouts the Koreans, but I couldn't find any record of their ethnicity. Additionally, the Korean defenders accidentally killed one of their own in the chaos.

At least one of the Koreans themselves during it were talking about who was attacking them. Not sure if it was in Count Dankula's Roof Koreans video or in the 25th Anniversary thing that A&E did a few years back.
You are WAY wrong on this one. I married into a family that had direct experience with the riots. The Koreans were in utter shock that their friends and neighbors and customers would turn on THEM in a time of crisis. They thought they were all in this together. This event dramatically changed the alliance between Koreans and blacks in southern CA, and made Koreans all over the US more independent. And if you want proof - just watch videos on this event. Lots of footage from a helicopter pilot named Albert Tur, now named Zoey Tur who famously threatened to choke out Ben Shapiro.

I watched it unfold on TV (we were scared out of our minds) and then I later married into a Korean family who were part of it. Rodney King was beaten by LA Police, and the cops pretty much got off. Some (blacks) also helped ease the situation, and saved people who were got in the wrong place. This was a BIG event of my childhood and many people feared it would spread throughout the country. Koreans also came to hate the police and white people, because they sustained the most damage and our legal process did nothing to help them at the time or afterward. The Rodney King (was beaten by LA cops after fleeing) verdict was announced, and chaos ensued. He was pulled from his cab hit with a brick, and had his head stomped. A car drove into the intersection to rescue him. After two men were convicted of attempted murder on him, he hugged their mothers. He moved from the LA area to AZ, and now his whereabouts are unknown. At the 10 year anniversary he went back to the intersection, and said he felt nervous. At the 25 year anniversary he wanted nothing to do with it. This is just a quick synopsis from reading a few articles. My apologies to Mr. Denny if something is incorrect. I remember the horror of watching this all unfold on TV. I hope he is having a good life.
