We've just released a new update, these are the changelogs:
- added the option to exclude posts that you've already voted on from listings ("listing" = hot/new/rising/top)
- when a post is hidden and therefore exempt from a listing, a post from the next page will fill in the gap
- blocking users will now hide their posts in listings
This is part two of the listing update from March 20th. Actively stickied posts do not abide by the above options, they will show regardless.

THE "PARENT" FEATURE is missing!! It's hard as heck sometimes to see what somebody's comment is in response to. Edit: Go over to Reddit and look at the "parent" feature.
Is that different from the "context" button? I've seen this request numerous times but I'm not familiar.
I could be wrong but I think context shows the comment that's directly responded to, so if you responded to my comment and I got a message about it and hit context it would show my comment and yours. Idk what a parent button is but I think it may show the first comment in the thread so for this one if I hit parent it would show "thank you for all your hard work" but again that's just guessing

You were right. Its not supposed to show the full chain. It's meant to only show your comment and the one you're replying to, and then if you want to move up the chain of replies for context on the comments, you can click 'Parent'
On .win we don't have this, it just shows the entire chain at once. It should be changed so 'context' only shows 1 or 2 comments, and you have to click parent. Because if the chain of comments is really long you end up having to search for your comment
Edit: Actually it doesn't show the entire chain anymore...You were right though. The parent comment basically just links to what comment you replied to. If a reply is really far down below a pile of other replies, its hard to see what they replied to. With 'Parent' you can just click it to see.
Literally all I want is the "parent" function back, it makes it near impossible to read comments and replies / messages on this site.
The 'context' button shows on inbox replies, I don't see it on comments in threads. Sometimes threads get hard to follow and discern exactly which comment some replies are to. A 'parent' button will take you the to original comment that the reply you are currently reading is to. Go see how they work on reddit and voat. I use the button a lot, especially in long threads with replies to replies to replies.
In Reddit you can actually just hover your mouse over the "parent" button/link and the original comment you are interested in finding shows in a tiny pop up window. It's really super fast and convenient when a thread is 6 miles long and there's no easy way to scroll 5 miles back and see WTF a comment is in reply to.
That's a cool tip and if I was on PC, that would be great, but I'm on a tablet. When I long press, I get the browser pop up to select 'open in new window/background among other options', but no popup window. It does work on the chans, though. I get rid of the browser popup and the popup box with the comment is still there.
I deleted my other comments about what 'Parent' does. 'Context' literally does the same thing. The difference is you can't click 'Context' when you are reading a thread, you can only click it when you are reading someones history. If you are reading a thread and want to see who someone is replying to and the list of replies is too long, you can click 'Parent' on reddit.
There is already a search bar. Click the hamburger menu top right and it appears above the Trump image with text that says ‘search community’

I am so happy about the endless scrolling, that and the previews make this site the best! I missed having the previews (aka card view) on reddit because we were quarantined so I guess it wouldn't show them. Not that I minded clicking each link but this is so much better because I can read everything so much quicker. Praise be to pepe and the mods!

Why a mobile app? I'm worried that a mobile app will detract focus from the web app which is universal. So many different mobile OS versions with infinite fail conditions.
Mobile App will make usage from phones much easier and give the site more reach. I never used Reddit website, always Reddit is Fun mobile app. Maybe they can share APIs and a third party can produce one.
That's kind of necessary. If you don't have a public API then the developer is just guessing based on how your site currently works. Any change can break the app and make a developer's life miserable. They're working on an app for Android at least, but an API would be better.

PLEASE make the text input control on the submit page taller so you can see more lines. It’s really annoying not being able to see the full text of the submission and editing/moving around the text box is difficult, especially using a phone.

at any given time there are a bunch of shitty posts that don't have anything to do with President Trump or his administration. some users treat this place like it is their facebook timeline. I think an off topic or not relevant button should be added to the report feature so we can report irrelevant content that is shitting up the board to the mods. keep it about Trump not whatever random thought may pass through someone's head.
That does keep the content ‘fresh & fun’ though... adding to the ‘high energy’.
Hopefully the admins are tweaking the front page to intermix links, memes, and text submissions, though.
