We can always back off from this if the numbers show it is warranted. Personally, I haven't seen where the successful treatment we believe we have in the malaria pill and z pack have been factored in. That really would be a game changer. We have heard about a number of good results and now we have 1100 more being tested. Should hear something about them in 3 or 4 days. If they work, then it's a matter of how long will it take to supply everyone with them. Be like Italy which has just decided to start giving it to people before they have symptoms.
It really would be a shame if we jumped the gun on this and then found out we were wrong and got a whole bunch more people killed because we could not supply what they need for treatment.
A bright side to me is that people like to claim that President Trump doesn't listen to anyone. That he just bulls ahead and does whatever he wants to. I have thought that the secret to his success is to get good people together and come up with plans based upon the brightest ideas. The Doctors have spoken. This is what could happen if you just ignore us. You could get a lot of people killed.

Trump's guidelines are mostly asking everyone to be responsible, make some space between yourselves, don't have unnecessary large gatherings, you know generally we are trying to slow down this virus don't be an idiot.
The problem is a combination of political influence and stupid people. You've got the governors that go all dictator and make their state look like a warzone when there's barely any cases. Then you have idiots that can't even make it look like they are trying to follow the rules.
If we still had a nation of personal responsibility we could keep a lot of the economy open and still slow the spread. I think most of our experience with the leftists tell us personal responsibility was off the table a long time ago.
Correct. The governors are highly influenced by those scary projection model sites and are using start at home orders which compound the drag on the economy unnecessarily for 80% of the country.
That Covid Act Now site I see some reference is SO bad. I guess so many have gotten to used to the fake news telling them what to think that can't see through it. It's so clear it's not a site about providing data but about influencing decisions. It's propaganda as far as I'm concerned.

If they don't start giving the medicine to people until they are hospitalized, then they are waiting until lung injury has occurred. This combination should be used early.
