Am I a dummy, or is this just going over people’s heads?

We a have cure. Why are we extending the “stay home” guidelines? Since we have a cure this virus is actually preferable to contract over influenza’s (the common flu) since we dont even have a cure for influenza.

I don’t get what the hubbub is all about.
