The New York trials must be going very well.
I hope so, but the emergency limited use doesn’t mean they think it’s a cure. Only that they won’t stop doctors from prescribing it to individuals who don’t have a heart condition. No children allowed though.
They figure it’s better to let it be tried off label than look like the bad guy if it ends up working. If our results from the 1100 people trial weren’t on the horizon, they wouldn’t make this move. Thank Trump for the restrictions being lifted in the hopes we got a successful treatment. Otherwise, it woulda been a year.

The rub comes in at, he didn't pull that treatment out of his ass. He is surrounded by a bunch of professionals who were advising and keeping him apprised of the situation. Reading the entire letter states only for hospitalized patients over 50kg and doesn't address folks in the early stages under doctors care in a clinic, but at least it's a step in the right direction.
