What is the chance that the virus adapts to the malaria medicine that is currently the miracle cure for it?

Some types of malaria became resistent to chloroquine, so that's why they developed hydroxychloroquine. Yes it can happen over time, but the hope is to have the vaccine ready before then. Then there will hardly ever be a need for the drug, because I expect everyone in the USA will get vaccinated.

They weren’t able to make an effective vaccine for SARS and I expect the same thing here.
