There's no functional reason for him to go, except to act as a figurehead of a ceremony. There's much additional risk going vs not going and no purpose. If I was a doctor, I'd tell him it's unwise. It's a hospital. Required personnel only.
I agree. However, in this video he said "secret service" and not medical personnel. Interestingly, he said almost the exact same thing again a few days later at a briefing. I think it's safe to say that it's strongly assumable that he's telling us that he is at risk of assissination in New York.
The point on the curve we're at today is actually much different than where it was days ago. It's gonna explode until mid April and should be back down to where it is now by early May.
