I'm more forgiving of tribes in africa starving to death, than a communist regime supporting the ongoing practice where there are alternatives available.
They have the ability to have chickens, pigs, etc. We don't eat those animals just because they taste good, we eat them because they're easy to feed/farm. There is no reason to eat fucking bats.

When I was in Guangzhou (the richest city of the rich region) around 2012 they're still holding live cats and dogs and tons of wild animals I can't name in wet market, and them eating wild animals have 0% to do with poverty. I mean, poor quality frozen pork is probably way cheaper than most of those fresh meat.
It's mostly a cultural habit that's probably as difficult to eradicate as smoking, both of which makes no rational sense but which millions of people do. But we can certainly make eating game animals as unwelcomed as a smoker in conventional hall.
Is there some way pedes come up with a way to utilize those Greta variety of Environmenta-Fascists to outrage about Chinese habit of eating wild animals? Bushmeat eaters are the larger enemy of the Nature than most regular American can ever be, unless they happen to be Al Gore that lives in >20,000 feet mansion with private jets.
