I used to not support Trump. I've always been an Independent and didn't want to label myself with one party or another. Yes, I admit I voted for Shillary in 2016 in part because I really didn't know the full extent of who she was and thought she could do the job even if I didn't like her. I admit I didn't always agree with Trump but I didn't cut my friends out of my life that did support him. As time went on things continued to change, politicians would actively not enforce laws that were in the common good, and the worst was the demonizing of the opposition. Families literally would stop talking to each other over this. With the most recent happening of this Chinese virus it's clear how duplicitous the media/Democrats are when it comes to their narrative. I had always assumed both sides did half truths now and again but what has been done by them has actively caused people to lose their lives and they show no remorse. Before this pandemic I was considering not voting and seeing how it all played out. Now it's clear that one side is completely inept and only wants the keys to the castle to continue having a good time. Trump is the one who'll actually address the illegal immigration problem. Trump is the one who'll actually work for the people to rise from poverty and be players in our economy. Most importantly Trump is the one who'll stand against the Communist Party of China while the Democrats would lick Xi Jinping's taint to show they weren't racist. You, not so few now, good men have my support.
p.s. you glorious bastards did a good job giving the finger to reddit making this site after they tried to screw you
Well to be honest I was young and less informed on the issues. Take gun rights for example, I didn't know how many actual steps and regulations/background checks there were for getting one. Frankly I didn't have as healthy of a news consumption diet as I do today. So while I had a vague impression that Hillary had done some questionable things in the past (an understatement I know now) I thought that Trump didn't have what it took to run a country. Now after all this time I've learned more becoming a young adult and am less trusting of media sources that I grew up with.
It's a sad thing, one of the big problems is that on a subconscious level he knows that if he disagreed with those in his space he could lose all this friends and perhaps even his job. They will continue to reinforce that way of thinking even if he disagreed he'll know that way of thinking isn't allowed. I think with someone like that you need a big shock to his system that makes him reconsider everything he hears. I hope Trump wins in a massive landslide as it will shatter a lot of worldviews that can only exist in a bubble where they lie about them still being the majority.
