Then, seeing the skies darken (again) with planes bringing emergency supplies, which are being handled directly by US military without trusting it to the local politicians like last time (and the Navy sending corpsmen to set up overflow tents in our hospitals because our own Department of Health had none). Then seeing what the EU is doing to Italy while Trump is fully including us in the Federal stimulus checks has opened the rest of many eyes. One woman I know, who has always talked about revoking her American citizenship because she also has Spanish citizenship, said to me yesterday, "What a country! What a nation! I don't care what ANYONE says, Trump is the only leader I trust now and I am GRATEFUL to be an American!" Never have such words passed her lips before. If she even said "American" it was qualified with "citizen." I am hearing this everywhere now. "Thank God we are Americans!"
