Technically, in medical language, a recovery is when someone who is hospitalized is released and 100% free of any complications associated with the disease. Given the lung tissue scarring associated with hospitalizes patients who have COVID 19, there may not be a recoveries in the technical and full sense of the word. I could be wrong but that's why I think the recovery rate is so low.
