NY’er here.... I personally know 6 people that have had CV and are recovered already... why don’t the official recovery number reflect the accurate number of recoveries??

And several NY celebrities have recovered... yet the recovery number stays the same day in and out

Technically, in medical language, a recovery is when someone who is hospitalized is released and 100% free of any complications associated with the disease. Given the lung tissue scarring associated with hospitalizes patients who have COVID 19, there may not be a recoveries in the technical and full sense of the word. I could be wrong but that's why I think the recovery rate is so low.
