It’s funny how this info is coming out now. I wonder why fasting was a big part of the Bible, Hebrew Scriptures, and Islamic text

It reminds me of how there used to be restrictions on what could and couldn't be eaten back in biblical times and seemed like nonsense. But then we later found out doing so actually helped prevent animal to human transmission of diseases and parasites.

Fasting is great. I am not religious and if someone told me a couple of years ago I would be fasting I would call them crazy.

Your a real idiot if you think that will make you "immune to infection".... You now, the way you specifically describe in the title of this post......

There is something to this. I don't know if it makes you immune but I did some serious low carb no sugar eating along with OMAD and 72 hour fasts for almost a year. Researching it before and during. Let me tell you the first month is a bitch but after that it is easy sailing. If you have type 2 beetus this will fix it (even without fasting). No more insulin or metformin whatever. But uh getting back to the fasting part - something happens where your cells regenerate. It is called autophagy.

Nice try, communist.

Next you gonna say that not wearing clothes keeps you warm?
