I just don't understand this.
The coronavirus team is now projecting 100,000 - 240,000 possible deaths over the next 30 days.
Why NOT use Hydroxychloroquine & Z-pak?
Oh the FDA hasn't completed their scientific, double-blind, whatever the hell testing to confirm ...what we are already seeing is high percentage success. What the hell are we waiting for?

i think that's high, I hope. Just a question, if the virus has a 4 - 5 day incubation period, and the country has been quarantined for the past 14 days, and, to date, with (essentially) no experimental treatment being used, and deaths, to date around 2800, how is this number going to jump to 100k within the next couple of months? Wouldn't that mean that the 'positives' would have to jump to 5 million to have a death rate of (2%) 100k? Shouldn't things automatically be tailing off after this two week stay at home?
There are 189,000 confirmed cases as of now in the USA. That number will surely jump to 250-300K by the weekend. They are still testing mostly people that are very sick. As hospitals become overwhelmed, the percentage that they can keep alive will decline. 30-75K deaths for 300K mostly sick Covid patients isn't an unreasonable guess.
Many locales are just starting to get infected. Even with quarantine measures, there will still be more spread.
Now - as a Trump supporter, I know he isn't lying to us. He isn't going to tell us things are better than they are, if anything, he would lean the other way. So, all said, I am with you and optimistic that Trump is painting a stronger picture of what could happen, then he thinks will happen if his plans are followed.
The key thing to this is that we listen to President Trump. We should not be making our own rules or interpretations here. Follow his lead, and we will be better off.
We can still complain about state and local government overreach. If they go too far, we should rely on POTUS to guide us on reigning them back in.
I think that is a realistic forecast - have said this from the beginning - and note the high water mark for flu deaths was 2018 at 61k.

I dont see a path for us to get to these predicted number of deaths based on the numbers we are seeing right now. Every state would have to be as bad as New York and with most under lockdown I don’t understand how that would be possible.

There have been more than enough tests. It’s Time in the US to prescribe HCQ for cases exhibiting symptoms before they require hospitalization. Meanwhile, Hungary and India are using it and won’t ship any HCQ out of their countries.
It has been approved for emergency use by the FDA in a hospital setting. Further, a home where a person is staying due to infection can be treated as a hospital.
The key is to get timely testing. If you are sick, and you can't get a quick test, demand, don't ask, for the combination. This sickness can get very severe, very quickly.
HCQ is most effective BEFORE hospitalization is required. It could help keep people from needing hospitalization the first place. But the FDA approval was only for hospitalized cases. We need FDA approval for outpatient use!!!

I think the REAL story here is that everyone in govt KNEW a month ago that the SMART way to head off contagion was to mandate wearing masks in public and using instant thermometers to scan for fever at entrance of all public places etc etc

This is an absurd number. This'll burn out at 30k max. And with that I do mean MAX! If places like Compton and Brooklyn keep ignoring quarantine and keep passing the virus around maybe 30k.
Their 'model' projects 100k deaths or more, with most of them in the next 2 weeks. If that is right that means about 96k people will die in 14 short days... which adds up to almost 7k people dieing each day...
A lot of it depends on how stupid the average person is when it comes to taking precautions not to spread the virus.
