I don’t know anyone with the virus. I also don’t know anyone who knows anyone with the virus. Also I’ve noticed the only public figures who seem to “catch the virus” are liberals. This is all a plot to try and make voters afraid to come out in November so Trump will lose. But maybe I have my tinfoil hat on too tight folks. I’m mostly joking around but sometimes this whole thing is kinda fishy.

I saw that too on the lifting subreddit. One of the headlines was that it reduces testosterone production by 50%. Granted it was just a headline so I'm not sure how true it is.
Knew alot of people sick back in January, testing negative for flu. Told to go home and rest till they felt better. Relative who is a nurse said they had never seen so many people coming in with the "flu". I think covid has been here longer than said to be.
I was one of those January cases. Released from ER with "viral syndrome". Pretty sure it was COVID based on everything we know now.
I know a few people with it. One had symptoms for a couple days and it went away. He got tested and has been sitting it out at home. Another friend has been in the hospital with fever for 6 days. Said he felt like he was dying. He's also a healthy 39 yr old guy. I think it's just a really bad flu, but when we hear about every case, the deaths, etc it freaks us out more. Same thing when we hear cop shootings or when people make a gay slur then all of a sudden we think it's some major outbreak of these issues when in reality it's just the information overload that is scary us.

Your first and second sentence arose in my head as well. Thing is, I don’t know anyone with the flu right now either. Still, there’s not much tangible proof when all we see are video snippets. It’s not settling to think that we’ve been bamboozled, but it did cross my mind today.
However, Rand Paul had the virus and I don’t consider him a Democrat/liberal. If this were the greatest hoax ever, it wouldn’t be to prevent a Trump re-election, but steal all our wealth.
