Dr Gene Scott. He was the cigar smoking preacher on late night 80s TV who had a band of wind up monkeys. He spent a lot of time bitching about the FCC and reading from books about UFOs and ancient languages. My father would watch him at night and I’d lay in bed listening to him.

Omg yes!!!! Now I remember him. He definitely did not fit into one category the guy was eccentric as eccentric comes.
