I shit you not SacBee had an article the other day talking about how rural counties had less reduction in travel than in metro areas, largely because the more dispersed nature of essential services and because a greater proportion of the rural counties works in essential services (farming, energy, water, trucking). Neat graphic and everything.
In the very next sentence they went into detail how trump counties had less reduction in travel because trump supporters were less likely to believe in science and were probably not taking the shelter in place orders seriously....
But if you overlay the counties...they are essentially the same. Trump counties in California = Agriculture, transportation and distribution. Womp.
