He's planning ahead. People in business don't only worry about what's happening at that very moment but also what will happen down the road. What you said isn't helpful, we all know.

k. so what do they do at this very moment. Just go "take out a loan"?

They should file for unemployment which has been increased, carefully spend the stimulus money that is coming, which is in addition to the unemployment and look for other grants and opportunities such as: https://rerf.us/ . It's actually not as complicated as you seem to want it to be. I've got facebook and instagram, if I wanted to hear people bitching and complaining, I'd go there. Again, you're not adding anything constructive to the conversation.

Also, editing your original reply to sound less snarky makes it slightly better but not cool to do during a conversation.

unfortunately, i think a lot of folks are going to learn some very hard financial lessons in this....but they are not bad lessons. such as taking a very careful look at how you spend your money, what you don't really need and what you spend on bs stuff like daily caramel soy macchiatos. do you keep going back to *$ post- wu wu 'flu, or do you buy a lil espresso machine and make them at home for a fraction of the cost? do i really have to drive a lexus or should i get a hyundai and bank the money?

i keep seeing the stat that most americans have less than $400.00 savings. i bet that changes.

gotta have a "stash" for emergencies, and a stash costs money, but can be built over time.

i hope these college kids that are majoring in urdu, post-modern critical basket weaving and the theatrics of victimhood are paying attention to the jobs that are in high demand and still on-going, despite the crisis. i also hope we end the whole snobbism thing re: white vs blue collar. both are essential. if you've got toilet paper, thank the truckers and the scientists that made it so soft.

Gold and Silver for the stash. Much better than Fiat in the mattress or a frozen bank account.
