Mail in ballots have far too much potential for massive fraud. There's already fraud IN PERSON in states that have no voter ID requirement! We learned that in 2016 and 2018.
The barcodes are a great idea, but I'd rather see election day as a national holiday where we all have the day off to go vote.
WA mail-in ballots are barcoded. If anyone moves to mail-in, that should be the MINIMUM required.

i agree completely, and mandatory paper audits.
But if any States DO go to mail-in, they have to be tightly controlled, not Nancy's fever-dream free-for-all.
It would be nice if the Feds reiterated the CITIZENSHIP requirement for Federal- office elections, but the REEEEEing would be deafening...
