My nephew went to the ER on Sat for stomach pains. It was much worse than that, he has very a aggressive cancer and he's supposed to turn 5 this week. My family is devastated. He having a biopsy now and will start chemo tomorrow. Treatment has been slightly delayed to ensure he doesn't have covid-19. I'm only asking for prayers for my family as we are spread all over the country and can't be there for them due to all the China virus restrictions. Prayers and thoughts are appreciated. I figured this would be a great place to ask for some additional support. Thanks for reading.

Edit: Thank you for the prayers and support. I'll do my best to put out updates on his situation.

Edit2: Little man's now out of surgery and into recovery. Suspected neuroblastoma, but won't know until lab work is done. Biopsies collected in several areas. Drained the tumor and a nearby cyst. Surgeon didn't remove as the tumor (was cantaloupe sized) is now a manageable size. My sister is very relieved and exhausted. Chemo begins tomorrow. Thank you for all the prayers.

Edit3: He's now recovering in ICU, they had to go back in to put in a drain due to fluid buildup in one of his lungs. It seems like the first hurdle out of the way. Thank you so much for continued prayers, pedes. This really is one of the best communities out there.

Edit4: He is doing better today, the draining of the cyst took a lot of pressure off of his diaphragm and kidney, so he can breathe and has some kidney function back. The biopsy results and treatment plan will discussed with the Drs tomorrow. Looks like chemo will start this weekend, not today like I thought. My whole family appreciates the prayers and thoughts

Edit5: 4/3/20 Not good, pedes. Dr. said it is High Risk Neuroblastoma. My sister is devastated. However, its not over yet.

Edit6: 4/5/20 Chemo started last night. He seems to be responding well to treatment although it still early, he didn't have strong negative reactions to the chemo, no vomiting etc. Parents are dealing better this morning. Hard to believe it's only been a week since he went in for stomach pains.

Edit7: 4/6/20 Chemo hasn't affected his appetite too much, wanted chili fries last night and ate pretty well today. Had bunch of other tests including kidney function. He doing as well as could be expected. Had some physical therapy as well. His old personality is starting to peek back through, still positive. My brother-in-law was a smoker, but has been forced to choose between smoking and going into quarantine for 5 days or give it up. He's doing pretty well considering circumstances.

Edit 8: 4/8/20 It seems it has been one step forward, two steps back. They just took him back in to surgery, the bleed in the tumor needs to be stopped. They drained off 1200ml of fluid from abdomen and another 200ml from around his lungs. My sister and brother in law are spent.

Dearest Abba Father we lift up this innocent child to you and ask that you heal his body so that he may grow into the man that you created him to be. We lift his family and ask that you embrace and comfort them. Give them rest and peace. Give wisdom to the doctors and nurses who care for him. Let everyone see your grace and mercy through your miraculous healing of this precious child. We thank you for loving each and every one of us so much and ask that you help us to be worthy of that love.
