Never have I been on a ventilator and I'd die before going to a hospital. Having read all available material about ventilators and pulmonary therapists that operate them since this crisis started I realize I have made the right choice.

If this virus can live on a formica countertop or stainless steel for some time, it can live on wooden pallets and cardboard boxes even longer. Leaving shipping boxes outside, bringing only contents in is probably a necessary precaution?
