I've crunched numbers a lot. Monday we had PLENTY to give to everyone in all the following categories:
everyone tested positive (160,000)
everyone already infected but didn't know it yet (Statistically another 30%, so 48,000)
everyone that 48,000 would infect
people already on HCQ long term
This means we could beat this thing!
31 million HCQ had been donated to US but hadn't yet arrived. On top of the 9 million donated that already arrived and Cuomo's been hoarding. Don't know how many of those remain but healthcare workers should've received a supply for preventative use. First responders too. I'd like to see truck drivers be the next category; they distribute stuff deliberately so we really don't want them infected!
To give everyone in the US a supply we'd need almost 5 billion. We won't have that for months.
D Governors playing around with this have almost allowed this to continue to spiral out of control so much that even the 40 million already donated won't be enough to give everybody infected medicine. They're repeating Cuomo's mistake.
And giving her the pills takes them away from others, as there isn't yet enough to give it to everyone in the country as a prophylactic.
