Medical professionals and nurses are making videos talking about the reality, and yet you, without setting foot in the field, carry on about le hoaxes.
100k is not a lot in the big picture. It's only human conceit that makes these deaths more significant than the other 3,000,000+ Americans that are dying this year. It's a tragic natural disaster, of course, and we should try to help as many people as we can, but it's not the end of the world and even a hundred times that estimate is not cause to sacrifice our collective freedom or the economic welfare of the entire nation. The world can't stop turning just because some people are frightened of nature doing what nature does.
This is with serious mitigation practices that the number will be about 100K. Also, trying to compare all deaths combined of 2.8 million a year to a single event of 2 million deaths on top in a 3 month period isn’t apples to apples.
I know, a lot of death all at once is very frightening for some people, but even ten million dead is only a small fraction of the entire population. For everyone else, life must go on, no matter how this makes them feel. If we can bring the toll down from two million to a hundred thousand that's an incredible victory, but we can't let the cure be worse than the disease. We can't kill the whole country trying to save part of it.

The only way to kill it is with effective medications, by testing everyone and giving those medications to those that have it. Put them on a course of medications, test them again two weeks later, if they still have it, treat them again and repeat.
