And virus models are predicting what will happen in the next 3 or 4 weeks. Climate change models are trying to predict the next 50 years.

To play devils advocate, here's one reason. Climate models can be driven by satellite data. We have global time series data of a wide variety of climate parameters we can shove into models.

In contrast, with disease models we are doing a ton of guessing. We are not testing the entire population, the test kits that are getting produced are frequently faulty, reporting looks suspect based on contributing causes of death. Epidemogiolical models are making far more guesses.
