The simplest solution is to tell China to pound sand when it comes to paying off our current debt, HEAVILY tariff any good coming in from them, investigate any American company doing business with a Chinese company (like Tencent), remove any Chinese-run business from the stock exchange, and, most importantly, cancel any foreign aid (and we DO give them foreign aid). Use that foreign aid to fund unemployment benefits while the country works its way back (which hopefully won't take forever. Honestly a good chunk of these unemployment claims are furloughs and will only last until businesses can reopen).
NO. No tariffs. EMBARGO. Complete cessation of all trade with China. Its time we unwind our dependence on that third-world shithole.
Also, don't allow Chinese Nationals or corporations to own any property in the U.S. Require them to do business here under a U.S. company. Or better yet, don't allow any Chinese products of any type into the country. Completely ban trade with China and pressure our allies to do the same.

There is a class action lawsuit filed against something more specific than just "China," but I forget who the named defendant is. I don't expect it to yield anything regardless what our Courts decide. China is waging all-out war in terms of public opinion.

Because by our current reasoning, we're now expected to have 10M (probably 20M by the time this is done) unemployed every time a new virus comes out of China, which will probably be every couple of years. If that is the case, nobody will ever want to invest in anything, and the entire world economy will essentially come to an end.
So no, this is totally not worth it.
