This is just a rant, but holy shit I am so tired of these celebrities posting videos of themselves telling people to stay home. Then, of course, you have the B list actors trying to be edgy and say shit like “stay at home you dumb fucks!”.

Know what I hate even more? Libs just eating this shit up. Reddit is covered in these stupid fucking videos with 25-50k upvotes.

I get it. I’m a fucking adult and capable understanding state and federal regulations. I don’t need Hollywood actors patronizing me. “Oh gorsh darn! I was going to lick windows today, but Robert De Niro said he’s watching me, so best not! Hyuck hyuck.”

Just venting. Stay safe out there pedes! Keep fighting the good fight.

Tim Pool laid this out in his podcast I think a week or so ago, and it went something like this:

These celebrities grow up constantly being told how special and amazing they are, and as the get more and more famous and rich they surround themselves with yes men who constantly sniff their asses and praise them. Then once the quarantine starts, these celebs lose their yes men, and thus, lose all of the attention that for them is completely normal. Once they get the same amount of attention that us peasants get on a normal basis (or less even), they freak out. They're too narcissistic to just stay quiet, they are desperate for attention. So they post stupid shit online, waving their arms around basically going, "Look at me! I'm here, I'm still here guys, why isn't anyone watching me?!" And then they will learn to realize that most of us don't give a fuck. Only the celeb worshiping morons will give them the time of day, and under these circumstances it's not enough to satiate them.

I was a movie buff since a very young child. It was tough to find a movie I had not seen. Since the 2016 election process and of course the last 3 a half years of pure non stop attacks by that community, I have not gone to the theater since the 2016 election. Screw them!

Yeah, I don't think I watched a single movie in the theater last year, and the year before that the only movie I watched in the theater was the new Halloween movie.

I'm just tired of seeing it on TV. People acting so upbeat and blase about it. "We'll be fine, we'll get through it", "it's only temporary", "we'll be back to parties and sportsball games and fun in groups again soon".
Yeah that's not helping. It's not helping people right now that are watching the businesses they built crumble through no fault of their own, having to accept unemployment checks because their employers had to fire them or furlough them, and comfort people who see no light at the end of the tunnel for this shit yet, and fear when the dust settles there's going to be a world of hurt to deal with.

it's very hard to be an optimist about all this when we don't even know when our freedoms are going to come back. All we hear is "after the curve flattens", "when it's safe", "when the threat goes down".

Im tired of all people telling me i shouldnt ride my bike, or whatever. Im well within the orders in place in my area, but they say oooh muh you could get hurt and take up a hospital bed.

Im following the rules. But every time i go out i see tons of idiots congregating that clearly are not family. Yesterday there was about 15 people with their dogs chatting and blocking the bikepath. I just sat there watching the groups of one or two people walking around them through the mud trying to maintain distance.

Maybe this is gods way of getting rid of the stupid.

100% agree. And if I am being honest, I'm getting tired of stores and other businesses virtue signaling so much. I'm in Florida and really like Publix overall but when I was there yesterday, some peaceful cheery voice came on the intercom and said 'please maintain the 6' social distanco. Remember, we're all in this together!' I thought to myself, ' yeah right! That's why I can't buy any fucking toilet paper!'

Of course, I do get it though. The older I get the more I realize that there are some seriously stupid fucking people out there that just live to be told what to do and what to think. Sirry, started to rant there for a bit, lol.

Definitely true. But it makes sense when you realize that this is exactly what school teaches everyone during the first two decades of life.

Yeah that's true. I wonder how different it is as compared to the 50s with the whole 'duck and cover' nuclear Armageddon/Commie thing. Just pondering, lol.

Everybody gets all superior and laughs about "duck and cover" today. But at the time, it wasn't laughable and it wasn't unrealistic. The Cold War was at Maximum Hot in the early Fifties, and the insane commies in the USSR would have been thrilled to have been able to launch a nuclear attack on the United States. The only reason they held back was because they knew damned well that they'd be flattened if they tried it.

As for ducking and covering, well, no, kiddies, no one ever seriously thought that squatting under your school desk would protect you from a nuclear explosion. The idea was to maybe save you from the falling debris of a building collapsing around you, the way so many of them did in the London WWII Blitz.

Well I hope I wasn't sounding all 'superior' and shit. I was attempting to draw a bit of a parallel between people being terrified back then and now and wondering how it influenced behavior back then.

When this is over, we need to reorganize the entire academy.

I agree with. I’ll be honest, I love cinema. My life has been all about movies. It’s gotten me through. The hype I get from discussing film is how I get through my life. All the BS these “ Celebrities” say and do irritate me to no end since I don’t give a crap about their opinion. They hate and alienate half their audience and that’s just pure nonsense to me.

I know I should leave these people behind since they hate you and I and all of us but I’m sorry I just can’t let them win. I put politics aside when I see a movie. I give credit when credit is due. But I am frustrated with all the BS that comes out of Hollyweird and it’s disheartening. So as a person who wants to learn all about film it’s really disheartening.

I love MAGA and I will keep on supporting our President, but I will not let these entitled elitists bully me away from film. I’ve lost a ton of respect for ” Celebrities” who I actually thought who kinda cool which is a shame. Chris Pratt though is a great guy who has yet to shame half his audience and appears to love his country. I respect that.
