am a girl and I got a lady boner on this one... kek

I am so proud of the Praetorian Guard surrounding our President and our country. I just want to hug all these guys... well, when it's all over...

On another note, I was on a cruise many years ago that stopped at Belize. Because the ship was so huge, they took us in boats to Belize. On the way back, I noticed a huge door in the front of the boat. I asked the captain (boat driver, really) what that was. He said so casually, "Oh, when we aren't ferrying passengers, other people use this boat. Don't go in there. Lots of dust from things you don't want on you when you reboard the cruise ship...." so I said, "you mean like cocaine?" He just raised his eyebrows and kept drivin'

Would be cool to see the Navy blow apart a big cruise ship!

From what I'm hearing, that is EXACTLY what this is about. In case you missed this tweet -- https://twitter.com/TNoreen55/status/1245154032861282304 Interesting conversation about this on VOAT. Looks like every time they do "drug busts" they are simultaneously doing "kiddie trafficking busts."

Apparently the drug routes in the Caribbean go right past all the elites islands where the kids are being abused

Very interesting article that is worth reading in above link. The military is mentioned, cartels and even the horrendous sex traffickers.

1
FlaviusOdo 1 point ago +1 / -0

I like what he had to say. But, I'm concerned with his lack of sources and amount of typos and grammatical errors. Of course, those latter two don't debunk what he has to say, but it does concern me that he may not have reread and edited his article before publishing it. The lack of sources is a larger issue. In one paragraph he described an article he recently read in regards to a military joint task force. The link was only to that task force's Wikipedia page and, presumably, not the article he had read as the wiki didn't have anything about what he was referring to beyond said task force.

It's over a week old at this point, and there is no news of anything he mentioned. I'd like to think that those arrests are taking place, but I need proof first. He estimated 160,000 arrested, that's a big claim to make and not back up with sources.

1
CountryState_of_Mind 1 point ago +1 / -0

I do agree there are still questions and doubt in my mind about the arrests. Nonetheless, the big whigs stepping down and what we are seeing with the military going after the cartels ( which also I believe goes deeper than just demolishing cartels) is interesting. Given Trump is our President, I do believe he is doing something that needs to be done, something huge. Exactly what that is, who knows?

All respect to Coast Guard, especially Rescue Swimmers. A School is no joke, and they get more missions than the average door kicker.

38
Keln 38 points ago +38 / -0

Yeah I'm former Navy and we joked about the Coasties all of the time, but I do really respect them. Kind of half military half law enforcement. Some of them have a super easy job, but many of them don't.

24
VetforTrump 24 points ago +24 / -0

I did 16 years in the navy. I have two coast guard meritorious unit commendations with the operational "O" device. Those guys have their shit wired tight when it comes to ship boardi gs and they actually trained us how to do properly, also worked with them on the Tigris in Iraq. Definitely good dudes and worthy of respect. This JTF is gonna break some shit.

23
nocucks 23 points ago +23 / -0

Anyone who willingly gives up some of their best years to serve their country deserves the utmost respect. Don't care if you're a chair jockey in the air force, a SEAL, or simply an IT tech for the army. If you choose to serve in any capacity that's more than most can say and stands in stark contrast to our elected officials, who almost without exception, use their positions to enrich themselves at the expense of their nation.

Favorite branch to branch joke?

Here's mine.

Military branch "a" guy ends up at a urinal next to military branch "b" guy. They both finish their business, and as "a" guy stops to wash his hands, "b" guy keeps walking. "A" guy says " hey, in military branch "a" , the teach us to wash our hands after using the bathroom'.". To which "b" guy responds "in military branch "b", the teach us not to piss on our hands"

6
LewsTherinTelamon 6 points ago +6 / -0

My favorite is the following (5 years active in the Marines, so we love to rip on the Navy just as much as they love to rip on us). This one kind of depends on setting it up right and eliciting the right response from the person you tell it to for it to work correctly.

You: So, did you know that the Navy invented sex? Other person: Wait what? (or some sort of response like that). You: It's true. But the Marines introduced it to women.

1
AceOfTrumps 1 point ago +1 / -0

I wonder where that originated because I've always heard it as a state a/b school system or college a/b joke

0
DJTrump2020 0 points ago +2 / -2

Seriously though, if you're going pee whether it's in public or at home, it's not a bad idea to wash your hands. That being said, I really don't see it as necessary because unless you're literally pissing on your hands, the worst thing you're going to touch is the toilet handle with like a finger and unless you have herpes or something your dick is just skin like the rest of your body. What I'm getting at is that depending on the situation I may or may not wash my hands after peeing, and if I don't it's a conscious decision and I don't want any god damn grief about it.

0
Hiraeth 0 points ago +1 / -1

And the guy coming behind you totally knows you don't have aids, and you know the guy before you didn't either, or the guy before you that forgot to wash his hands after having sex with that prostitute and whipping his dick out for a piss, then you touch the handle, the door, rub your eye 10 minutes later.

Wash your damn hands

some of those shots are waaaay off. like a hundred yards off, weird ha

10
308win 10 points ago +10 / -0

There is more than one or two guns normally firing when something like this really happens. Some of those waaay off shots are to help gauge distance, aim, and test fire before you unload hell on the target. Plus...this shit is on water. Not solid ground. So you are constantly moving up down left right and diagonally. Takes practice.

10
Siteless_Vagrant [S] 10 points ago +10 / -0

Stand on a platform that is moving up and down 12-20ft and aim at something that is 500 yards away moving up and down 12-20ft and hit it. This is why they train. Also probably why they use bigger "bullits" ;).

9
g0rdy 9 points ago +9 / -0

Yeah, just one degree of variance is almost 50 feet at half a mile

1
Centipe76 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, there are hundreds of shots hitting the water all around the boat for like 5 minutes. Then, cut to a shot of the boat on fire. Lol. It's like they completely missed so they just set to boat on fire and put it in the video to save face.

If any of you are ever around somewhere you can tour a retired Navy ship then I highly suggest you do so. They are absolutely badass. I'd be terrified to go against one of those ships and they are the retired ones that have already seen their useful life.

Some of the new stuff we are making looks like it's from a sci-fi movie. I was lucky enough to see one of the new Zumwalt-class destroyers being built last year. It's one of the new stealth ships, if they were to send one of those the cartels wouldn't even know what hit them.

1
Siteless_Vagrant [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

We've got the USS Kidd here in BR, and on the 4th they do a fireworks display, preceded by a little re-enactment of the event where it got torpedoed. Old airplane come flying around fires machine guns (blanks), pyrotech guys had explosives in the water to make it look like bullets hitting the surface, big explosion to simulate the torpedo, and then the Kidd start blasting those deck guns you can see in the link, and SON, sitting all the way up on the levy you can feel the shockwave from that shit. Awesome ship! Great history too.

4
magnokor 4 points ago +4 / -0

Mexican cartels are an extension of China, and China's attacks on the USA.

China sends them fentanyl, Mexican cartels smuggle that into the USA, kill 150 US citizens a week with it.

All the drug cartels are enemies, who have declared war on the children of the West, there is only one punishment they deserve.

Source: I am retired Navy and did "Counter Narco Terror" missions on a frigate around central America and the Caribbean. We had Coast Guard "Law Enforcement Detachment" embarked onboard.

Those guys were ultimate professionals. They fit right in with us. I invited their chiefs into our chief's mess and they were part of the crew. They did this stuff for a living and we came out to give them support with our helo, our RHIB, and our big grey platform. They taught our guys and led the law enforcement aspect. These ops were a lot of fun.

We almost caught one of these semi submersibles, but they popped the corks and scuttled it as they threw themselves into the water to be rescued by us. Fortunately a bale popped out too, so we had enough evidence to arrest and charge them.

We did catch several small boats that had liquefied cocaine hidden in tanks. It took us a long time to find that. After gathering evidence, we backed up and blew the shit out of the boats with our 76mm. And smoled cigars and laughed.

The purpose of having the Coast Guard was for law enforcement and arrest authority, so we could get the guys further up the chain, not just the transporters. If all we wanted to do was put a dent in their distribution, we would just drive around and blow shit up. I am reasonably confident that is exactly what our boys have orders to do now - fuck them up.

0

The ship would have been fucked because the fast attack speed boat could have launched 10 shoulder fired missiles by the time they destroyed it. Throw another 15 fast attack boats that that Navy ship would be at the bottom of the sea. This is partially how the US lost the mock exercise against the Iranian Navy back in 2002. Marine Corps general Paul Van Riper commanded "enemy" Iranian forces and wiped out the US Navy. It was so embarrassing they had to cheat during the exercise in order to let the US win.

0
TravisTee 0 points ago +1 / -1

I don’t mean to be a downer here, I support this effort 100% — however, America has a drug DEMAND problem. People here want drugs. I’m sorry to say it but it’s true.

We need to fight just as hard against the demand which means treating citizens hooked on drugs just as hard as those dealing them.
