There is more than one or two guns normally firing when something like this really happens. Some of those waaay off shots are to help gauge distance, aim, and test fire before you unload hell on the target. Plus...this shit is on water. Not solid ground. So you are constantly moving up down left right and diagonally. Takes practice.

Stand on a platform that is moving up and down 12-20ft and aim at something that is 500 yards away moving up and down 12-20ft and hit it. This is why they train. Also probably why they use bigger "bullits" ;).

Yeah, there are hundreds of shots hitting the water all around the boat for like 5 minutes. Then, cut to a shot of the boat on fire. Lol. It's like they completely missed so they just set to boat on fire and put it in the video to save face.
