All items offered for sale by all retailers on the 'net should have country of manufacture indicated on the items web page.

I would really like that. Amazon has to be shamed into leading by example here and honestly they're one of the biggest offenders when it comes to Chinese stuff. It isn't just a problem of being Wish with 2-day shipping, they actually sell a ton of knock-offs. For example I'll go try to find a BMW part, find something made by Bosch, and it arrives in faked Bosch packaging with a little "made in China" tag at the bottom of the box. This shit has to stop.

It shouldn't be too difficult to make a browser extension similar to Camelizer or one of the many other amazon price utilities.

Any Pedes know how to code?

they can't, they'd have to pull majority of the items on their site because truth is.. Amazon and most have the sellers have zero fucking clue where this shit was made.

Amazon knows. I've sold stuff on amazon FBA and you buy the merch directly from the manufacturer in China. You have to declare the country of origin, material handling data sheet, as well as the manufacturer's info. Amazon knows. It's on the back end of your product listing.

If they've changed the rules recently, i guess. when we sold they never asked for country of origin, this was a few years ago, but we managed a catalog of oiver 750k skus.

Real question: has a change.org petition ever accomplished anything?

I went onto Amazon to have a look at plastic gloves. They are ALL from China. Things really need to change. No reason companies in America cant make fucking plastic gloves.

I will be doing my best never to buy anything from China again. Very hard atm but hopefully certain things will start to be manufactured locally again. Then I will totally shift to buying local products.

Amazon: lol shut up poor person

They're ruthless mega capitalist, like Standard Oil or US Steel, they are literally too big to care at all.

As always, do your own research on the companies listed here.

Half the items on amazon are sold by third party sellers, ie. small American businesses. You'd have better luck if you somehow made sellers see how many shoppers are outraged and demanding made in America goods.

Move to eBay or something less changy.

Fuck Amazon.

Ebay is full of Chinese junk

MySidesGoUp 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yup and as a learned customer you can choose Who to buy from and potentially where they buy from (based on oem).

I want this. I will HAPPILY PAY MORE FOR AMERICAN PRODUCTS.

I no longer wish to support a communist regime which murders its own people in the name of party honor.

I will literally be happy to support American industry and American jobs at even twice the cost of doing otherwise.

It would be like 4 items. Amazon is a shell for chinese counterfeit garbage

1
schiff_for_brains 1 point ago +1 / -0

They’re also pushing you to pay more if you want it shipped in a reasonable time frame, prime member or not.
