On this topic, based on what I’ve seen, it still seems like this entire pandemic alarmism is far worse than the actual virus. Any and all crazy predictions of it have been wrong by many orders of magnitude. Feel free to educate me if there is compelling data that shows otherwise as I would love to be wrong about this, but I still feel like this whole thing has been a play by play of what tends to happen when the flu goes around, and most people simply had no idea people die or go to the hospital from the flu.

Well known celebs have tested positive and I can’t recall any having died or done more than just kinda had the flu or having had nothing much come of it.

That is true, but I still consider it better than nothing, including because you would know yourself whether you edited it or not, and you can compare it with the website and archives online - for instance, if you have saved a local copy and haven't modified it, and both the online version and the archive have been edited, then you know that the archive have been compromised. Furthermore, if you trust someone fully and they have a local copy, then you may trust that the local copy has not been modified as far as you can trust the sincerity and competence (including protection from outside modification, etc.). And some aspects can take work to modify.
That said, it is a very good point you have, and I do believe archive sites should definitely be used.

I tested positive for it. For me it wasn't nearly as bad as the flu, except for the whole quarantine thing. I barely knew I was sick. I had a fever for about 1 hour that went away with advil, which prompted me to get tested. Very minor symptoms for a few days I wouldn't have even thought about if it wasn't for chinavirus. Took nearly 2 weeks to get results and by the time I knew I was positive I didn't have to quarantine anymore. Wife and daughter never had symptoms. I was with my parents the days leading up to the fever as well. They are fine. This was all before the lock down got real.
Having said that, my wife works in an ICU and people of various ages and medical histories are getting seriously fucked up and dying from it. (There were no cases at the ICU when I had it, now it is full. )
