Blocking that makes the blocked person "invisible" to the blocker makes sense, and is useful at times. A blocker shouldn't be allowed to silence someone from being seen by others though.

I've had it happen to me before. I shrugged it off but you're absolutely right about how it should be handled, the way it is now is a good way to completely mute someone out after pushing a bad agenda.

Agreed. They should not be able to silence you in a comment chain by blocking you, but that is how it currently works.

They make a pissy point then block you and you are locked out of being able to respond in the same thread. That’s going to be hugely abused.

Yeah it blocks you from replying to them and blocks you from replying at all if you're in that post.

I had someone block me last week after telling me to quit "being angry and lashing out at them". I've lashed out at people before but I certainly wasn't on this post. I was trying to respond with something to apologize and explain I was just trying to have discussion. I couldn't even reply to my own comment in that post to defend myself. I was just completely silenced.
