Just the basics. I work as a healthcare worker. One of the State Surveyor's came to our facility. Pulled aside employees who were using personal from home PPE. These are people who had N95 respirators/masks prior to.
So get this. We were ordered to take it off and put on surgical masks until we had the necessary "training" and fitting. Protocol without purpose, not even knowing they are willfully assuming something along the lines of a N95 individual without training is at greater risk to transmit diseases than someone using a surgical mask.
What's even terrifying is that you have some staff that will go along with it and tell you. "You're not allowed to wear an N95 mask."
So yes. This was only ONE PERSON from state. However, that's their representative who has authority. They have power. And they can force medical professionals with common sense on their own to simply, nod and follow along with this guidance without any significant ability to push back. Or even if they did. The push back would be slow and extraordinarily painful.
The only silver lining is that this kind of stuff is perfect opportunity to talk with my coworkers about taking responsibility for your own safety versus relying on government. Hopefully one day, they make their own connection with politics that slides under their TDS radar. Not get me into trouble with HR. And my ass fired.
Anyway. I'm going to vote red. I'm going to vote in person in a whole hazmat suit. if they tell me to vote from home. And this is even though my vote will be buried in a blue state.
So, I hope all you battleground folks are red pilling folks like no tomorrow. Cause this is a taste of what conservatives in blue states get reamed with. ALL the fucking time.
Whoever thinks that the government should be in control of healthcare is a moron.
It is astonishing how the greater majority of "Americans" are just blithely accepting all of this.
