All the operating rooms, clinics, etc., have been closed across the country for weeks so now you have gaggles of docs, nurses and techs just chilling.
Someone in the military once told me that the cost to just turn on a big ship, such as an aircraft carrier, or battleship, costs over a million dollars. I'm not sure what the medical ships cost, but it's probably expensive. Better safe, than sorry. But, yea.. I think this is going to go down as a big over panic situation. Shit like that happens when you have 1 party wanting to 'burn it down' because they can't get elected.
I went on a cruise and the welcome aboard people were saying it takes so much effort to shut down and restart the engine that they leave it running in port for 8 hour instead. And at normal cruising speed they burn one gallon per second of gas.
