If you film them doing it, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to citizens arrest them on the spot, even aggressively. This is why you carry pepper spray or a stun gun. I'd stun the shit out of someone doing that, or pepper spray directly into their eyes and then bop them on the head with one of those giant rhino dick winter squashes

I mean if you get arrested for assault, you go to court, you show your evidence in court and request a trial by jury, saying that the assault was part of a citizens arrest attempt in good faith to arrest someone for what you believed in earnest is bioterrorism. You would plead not-guilty. You'd play your evidence. You'd walk 100%

If the accused tries for hate crime, and goes to the media, then you sue the media for defamation against you and you'll get millions becuase you have the video

If you don't walk, you appeal AND countersue the grocery for not making the arrest, you countersue the police for not making the arrest, and you countersue the locality for descrimination and conspiring against your rights
