There were theories that the virus jumped from a bat, to a pangolin to a human. Just theories mind you, it's completely possible for china to be doing some sort of biological weapon fuckery.
That said, why the hell would you even eat a bat when they are reservoirs for so many types of diseases?? That's like eating a petri dish full of cultured nasty pathogens...
Poor education and resources. Read a story a while back where a Chinese man didn’t understand why the “dog” he bought as a “puppy” wouldn’t get along with other dogs.
It turned out to be some Chinese black bear.
His education was that piss poor. And his fellow countrymen are that big of assholes.
As more information surfaces it does look like the origins are most likely from a lab breach. It doesn't even matter what was being researched, benevolent or not, it got out and the CCP tried to hide it.
Loawhy86's video the other day explains why the bats were there, the only thing that conflicts with Tuckers report is that the location of the Wuhan institute of virology is mixed up with the other lab Tucker mentions.

"Either they intentionally released it, which seems unlikely"
Why would it be unlikely that the leaders of China, seeing an easy opportunity to destroy Western economies and take advantage of it - would decide not to do so ?
Do you think that they are concerned with human life ?
That’s the way we see it, they likely see it as thinning the heard of the weak and old leeching off the system. Those in charge as well as their families likely had access to the drug cocktail from the start.
Not sure that you really get what happened here. The initial outbreak was not especially intentional - although the Chinese saw it coming and did nothing to stop it.
But they quickly realized that they could profit from the situation by weaponizing international travelers to bring down their rivals.
I believe in both theories: Bat soup was always a thing, but it got extra virussy after some test lab animals escaped and/or were released and/or were sold to hungry peasants.
Yeah but it still transferred the same way as if it was from the market, the researchers were handling the bats when they full well knew they carried viruses. I don't even care if it's for research anymore lets not let bats come anywhere near us ever again
It did not. It escaped or was deliberately spread from the Wuhan level 4 virus lab. Change my mind.
“Then something bad happened...”
Some people ate something.
You deserve more than three points for this...
KEK
Then something bat happened...
Yeah, that ain't happening.
Or we hack into their system and find the direct data.
We weren't before?

Chicken of the cave.

It hurts their economy more than anyone. If you are gonna intentionally release a bio weapon, you would release it on your enemies, not yourself.

I'm betting a janitor sold tested on bats and other animals to the wet market to supplement his $300/month salary.
