Seems like a big deal was being made two weeks ago about this facility and number of beds, but just like the Mercy and the Central Park tent hospital, I suspect it is not being utilized. Does anyone have an update or current status?

Looking it up I see where the ship has 1,000 beds but only 30 of them are in use. Nothing about the Javit's Center. I suspect it's only for overflow if things get bad.
Yes, it seems as though it isn’t being utilized at all. I can’t believe we are going through these motions. It’s embarrassing.
Panic is the name of the game for the Destroy Trump Media and politicians looking to exploit this situation.
Its supposed to be used for normal non coronavirus related hospital use. I heard they were going to empty out the major hospitals in NYC of anyone that does not have coronavirus and put them in places like the ship or the Javits center, but then I heard that they ARE going to take coronavirus patients to the Javits center. Who knows.
