I honestly wouldn't have a problem with dipping our fingers in ink (after showing proper id that is). Like they did in Iraq when they first got the vote.
It's not just Iraq, it's modus operandi in most of the middle east and central Asia as the simplest and easiest way to prevent double voting. e.g. India, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey... also a lot of South American and African countries.
