Tens of millions of formerly active employed Americans are being told to stay at home. Many others who are not employed normally are being limited from going to the gym or pursuing leisure sports like yoga classes or tennis.
Instead we are cooped at home, nervous about our finances and about our country, but with a full refrigerator and pantry.
The health implications are predictable. On average, tens of millions of Americans are going to be packing on weight from nervous or bored eating, and lack of activity.
What is the health implication overall if the average American gains 5 pounds, reduces muscle mass, and has reduced movement and activity?
How many former waiters and shop clerks who were on their feet all day will now be sedentarily watching anime on Crunchyroll?
What is the effect on diabetes, cancer, vascular disease, DVT, and a myriad of other conditions from an enforced sedentary population? How many dieters have fallen off the wagon because they are upset about being stuck at home?
Have not seen this addressed outside of jokes about Covid-obesity. But it’s a real health concern that nobody seems to be paying attention to.
There won't be any logic in the minds of the afraid until they no longer fear for their life and trust big pharma to save the from the problem big pharma created.
I have no compassion for people buying into this hype and cutting their neighbor's throat and their own.
May history forget they were our countrymen.
The stupidity isn't something that can be fixed easily.
