You're watching a man allow the chief disease control scientist tell you how he's so skeptical about using a 40 year old medicine thats had spectacular results and then immediately turn around and tell you how much confidence he has in an upcoming and completely untested vaccine.
Even non-scientists raise eyebrows.
Trump did his job when he announced the medicine early and got everyone talking about it and front line doctors prescribing it.
Now he's just letting the show play out and everyone self-identify which side they're on

It's a trick the Lame Stream Media has used for years. They put on a token republican/conservative somewhere in Lame Stream media who says s/he supports whoever is the Republican/Conservative president/senator/representative, but then says "but in this case..." and goes on to eviscerate the politician (from the left) citing every lefty, supposedly objective but transparently not, source s/he can.
Democrats have a couple of rules delivered to their minions by the Dem establishment:
No enemies to the left and
If a Democrat makes an argument a conservative/republican would make, dismiss the argument and destroy that Democrat because they're not part of the lefty cause.
The problem, and it's not really a problem if you think about it, is that republicans and conservatives in the Age of Trump, look at the merits of the argument, not which side is making it and refuse to play the left and right game. Most of the right has caught on with a few holdouts but the left can't function with the new rules.
