Yeah it would be better to legalise it tax it and have it sold in pharmacies so that the pharmacists could see when someone is purchasing too much and intervene. It would be a big blow (pun intended) to the cartels. If the US legalised coke and weed the cartels would lose a shit load of their income combine that with tighter borders and you would probably make Mexico great for the first time. US would save on coast guards and military and the tourism would come roaring back. Id legalise ecstasy as well.
No, it's about money. Big tobacco loses tons of money on vapes, states lose tons of taxes. For context, the cigarette companies havent ever raised the price per pack. It's all taxes. Almost ditto for gas prices.
Drugs could go from an endless liability in cost to a money maker that would cut massive costs elsewhere (IF the gov wasnt already in the illegal drug business.)
I just can't casually do coke, like I'll do a line and then 5 minutes later I'll want to do another and another and another and another and another until it's gone, then get the shitty comedown, call my guy and tell him I want to spend all my money on more. The first time I tried it I ended up getting one of those little shooter bullet things and filling it up so I could take it with me to work at a retail store and was just yacked out dealing with customers all day, it was horrible lol. The comedown just really sucks, I need xanax or to sleep before I feel right again.

They hardly allow for vapes, much less cigarettes. I don’t think they would ever let recreational cocaine fly. It’s about control
