I don't think I agree with you. Are you not fine with eating them just cos they have helped us in past and are lovable creatures? What about cows and sheeps? Why not extend the same protection to them? They have fed and clothed us and I don't think they have killed any more humans than dogs. Help me understand, are those things you mentioned your sole criterion for not killing, eating any animal?

TheOutsider -1 points ago +1 / -2

So if China and South East Asia has bred them(dogs) for eating, doesn't that mean its fine to eat them? Humans are apex predators, we can eat them by design, so why not? Just found out people also eat gator meat. So your predator prey argument is moot. As far as companion thins goes, any being can be made a companion, if i have kangaroo or alpaca companion, would people stop eating them? That's not proper logic, try again. Also using your personal self as an example, like eating it in dire times, is a bad way to argue. You're eating it anyway, whether boiling or dicing and slicing. Edit- waiting for better counter arguments and your opinion regarding cats, since they don't protect, are you fine with eating them?

When you change the rules to try to take down the Man you better succeed. Trump made a mistake on this one, should have walked him out today not give him to the 31st.

52
VictoriousOnceMore88 52 points ago +53 / -1

Please if you can tell me why Donald is not walking him out today??? Why must our President continue to be nice to these scumbags when this piece of crap tried to get our duly-elected President removed from office?

30 days from today being the effective date means he stays until May 3rd, correct?

49
stvrap79 49 points ago +50 / -1

There’s probably some red tape preventing him from immediately terminating his ass. I’m sure Trump would have no problem kicking his ass to the curb like a belligerently drunk guy that groped a girl at the bar.

14
VictoriousOnceMore88 14 points ago +17 / -3

Can our great leader not remove the red tape through EO and attribute to the Chinese virus by means of having him fired right now since that’s what the stupid donkeys have done with in the last stimulus bill, such as the Kennedy Center? I hate how hard it is to fire vile scum like this IG who needed to be fired weeks ago. What do you think?

15
Afrikaner_Vrystaat 15 points ago +16 / -1

Swamp is rooted in too deep with it's own effective deep state. Possibly backed by globalists and chicoms. It'll take decades to fully dismantle the mess that is Washington. For now potus needs to pick and choose his battles wisely.

10

Aambrick 7 points ago +8 / -1

A metaphor I like to use:

-The swamp isn't some superwide global thing. It is a Modge Podge of pieces of people that have wide influence, but that is only a few layers deep except when you get to their cores. When you get to their cores no amount of fire is going to cleanse that muck. Constantly starting fires is the only way to get rid of that muck.-

It took a century and a half for it to get like this. It will take Decades if not 3 centuries just to get rid of it with constant cleansing. This stuff grows fast even after a cleansing. What was achieved on Nov. 9, 2015 was the epitome of a cleansing start. We need to keep it up, and through all layers because it only takes a short time to grow. There is a hope, though, and that is that the more that is cleansed the harder and slower it is for it to grow.

5
VictoriousOnceMore88 5 points ago +7 / -2

Would you agree with me of all the stupid dynasties we had from the Bush saga and dumb old Clinton, the only one that would work for America, capitalism and drainage of this massive swamp would be Don Jr., Eric and yes, Barron, to follow our President’s footsteps? (I love your comment/feedback too!!) I love President Trump and get very sad that the passing of each day means one less day with him.

3
Aambrick 3 points ago +4 / -1

Yes, or if not at least the next closest leader that follows the mold Trump has set, and Has the experience or people with that experience. The man made the business, but those he chose are what got it done. Hired and Fired.

4
VictoriousOnceMore88 4 points ago +6 / -2

Fellow Pede, I don’t think any person can match the gold standard per say Donald has set where the only two that I think will want to MAGA and follow in such amazing footsteps would be Don Jr and Ted Cruz or miraculously enough, Candance Owens. I have great faith in Jesus and his divine intervention along with every person voting to support our Donald but I lack deep faith in that any future leader can follow or replicate the model because DJT is the best and greatest we will have.

What do you think on the above?

9
sunnyingreenfield 9 points ago +11 / -2

Or (longshot, I know) he is keeping his options open and keeping him on for 30 days so he can be charged with any improprieties, or forced to testify. Remember the woman involved in the Ukraine scandal? She retired and in doing so escaped ever being forced to testify. One can hope.

Correct, the law requires that GEOTUS give him a 30 day notice.

...so Trump circumvented this by placing him on administrative leave first.

12
Farmerbob1 12 points ago +13 / -1

Likely because the guy covered his ass well enough that he could not be fired for doing anything technically wrong. Rather, he is being fired because the administration has no confidence in his ability to do his job apolitically.

8
CarlosDangerrr 8 points ago +9 / -1

The law requires "the President shall communicate in writing the reasons for any such removal or transfer to both Houses of Congress, not later than 30 days before the removal or transfer".

Unlike Obama who fired IG Walpin with no notice to congress.

The deep state officials and Obama holdovers (who have stayed since McConnell is intentionally delaying the executive nominations) did not act and process revoking the license as they from what I remember purposefully acted in defiance and never followed our Presidents orders.

Our President has resistors in every agency whom at least a good amount would be flushed out IF McConnell would have approved who our President deserves to have but McConnell will only approve the people he and the stupid RINOs want plus has never been in support of the ‘American First’ agenda. He only has given some life to confirming judges but even those he is super slow on.

24
JBlaze056 24 points ago +24 / -0

A completely justified firing. The guy was incompetent at best.

23
Staatssicherheit 23 points ago +23 / -0

Michael K. Atkinson (born May 16, 1964) is an attorney. He worked for the United States Department of Justice for about 15 years before becoming the second Inspector General of the Intelligence Community. He assumed office on May 17, 2018.

Hmmm...did this guy have bias? Or was he just incompetent? He needs to be investigated.

28
Choppa_Pilot 28 points ago +28 / -0

He was the top legal counsel to the DOJ-NSD when Crossfire Hurricane was happening. He probably knows a lot about all the bogus FISA warrants used to spy on GEOTUS' campaign.

He absolutely needs to be investigated.

13

Atkinson needs to be investigated. Before he became an IG, he was top legal counsel for the DOJ-NSD when Crossfire Hurricane was going down.

He is probably deeply involved in all the fraudulent FISA warrants that were generated to spy on GEOTUS and his campaign staff.

OUT! OUT! OUT!

“Atkinson’s conflict-of-self-interest, and/or possible blackmail upon him by deep state actors who most certainly know his compromise, likely influenced his approach to this whistleblower complaint.   That would explain why the Dept. of Justice Office of Legal Counsel so strongly rebuked Atkinson’s interpretation of his responsibility with the complaint...

What we end up with is a brutally obvious, convoluted, network of corrupt officials; each carrying an independent reason to cover their institutional asses… each individual interest forms a collective fraudulent scheme inside the machinery of government.

Michael Atkinson and Mary McCord worked together in 2016/2017 on the stop-Trump surveillance operation (FISA application via DOJ-NSD).  Then, following the 2018 mid-term election, in 2019 Mary McCord and Michael Atkinson team up again on another stop-Trump operation, each in a different position, and -working with others- coordinate the House impeachment plan via the ‘whistle-blower’ complaint.

While Devin Nunes is focused on the false statements of ICIG Michael Atkinson, the key is the contact between the ‘whistle-blower’ (Eric Ciaramella) and the House Intelligence Committee via Mary McCord.

There’s a very strong likelihood this entire impeachment construct was manufactured out of nothing.

National Security Council resistance member Alexander Vindman starts a rumor about the Trump-Zelenskyy phone call, which he shares with CIA operative Eric Ciaramella (a John Brennan resistance associate).  Ciaramella then makes contact with resistance ally Mary McCord in her role within the House.  McCord then helps Ciaramella create a fraudulent whistle-blower complaint via her former colleague, now ICIG, Michael Atkinson”

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/mary-mccord-key-how-entire-impeachment-operation-got-started

11
Ladybug87 11 points ago +11 / -0

"As Trump was removing Atkinson, the number of U.S. deaths due to the virus topped 7,000.".... as if there is any relation between the two. Typical leftist media.

I wonder if Atkinson's successor can shed some light on how the whistleblower complaint was handled.

6

“The Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) is Michael K Atkinson.  ICIG Atkinson is the official who accepted the ridiculous premise of a hearsay ‘whistle-blower‘ complaint; an intelligence whistleblower who was “blowing-the-whistle” based on second hand information of a phone call without any direct personal knowledge, ie ‘hearsay‘.

Michael K Atkinson was previously the Senior Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General of the National Security Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ-NSD) in 2016. That makes Atkinson senior legal counsel to John Carlin and Mary McCord who were the former heads of the DOJ-NSD in 2016...

Michael Atkinson was the lawyer for the same DOJ-NSD players who: (1) lied to the FISA court (Judge Rosemary Collyer) about the 80% non compliant NSA database abuse using FBI contractors; (2) filed the FISA application against Carter Page; and (3) used FARA violations as tools for political surveillance and political targeting.

Yes, that means Michael Atkinson was Senior Counsel for the DOJ-NSD, at the very epicenter of the political weaponization and FISA abuse.

Immediately after the Carter Page FISA warrant is approved, in the period where DOJ-NSD head John Carlin has given his notice of intent to leave but not yet left, inside those specific two weeks, the National Security Division of the DOJ tells the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) they have been breaking the law. The NSD specifically inform the court they are aware of contractors who have been using FISA 702(16)(17) database search queries to extract information on political candidates.

DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz has looked into the FISA application used against U.S. Person Carter Page. Additionally, U.S. Attorney John Durham is said to be looking at the intelligence communities’ use of systems for spying and surveillance.

If the DOJ-NSD exploitation of the NSA database, and/or DOJ-NSD FISA abuse, and/or DOJ-NSD FARA corruption were ever to reach sunlight, current ICIG Atkinson -as the lawyer for the process- would be under a lot of scrutiny for his involvement.

Yes, that gives current ICIG Michael Atkinson a strong and corrupt motive to participate with the Schiff/Lawfare impeachment objective.

Atkinson’s conflict-of-self-interest, and/or possible blackmail upon him by deep state actors who most certainly know his compromise, likely influenced his approach to this whistleblower complaint.   That would explain why the Dept. of Justice Office of Legal Counsel so strongly rebuked Atkinson’s interpretation of his responsibility with the complaint.”
