Conservatives are rarely obnoxious enough to bring up politics first, but leftists live in this fucking bubble where they seem to think everyone around them obviously must agree with their leftist political opinions because the people around them aren't the slavering monsters covered in neo-Nazi tattoos like they've painted conservatives to be in their heads, and so think nothing of bringing up politics in the most inappropriate settings. Like, I would never bring up politics and start trashing Democrats during a work meeting, but I've on numerous occasions participated in work meetings in which leftist coworkers with TDS have inserted their Trump hatred into conversations that have absolutely nothing whatsoever to even do with politics.
And you can never say anything back or they'll go out of their way to make your job a living hell going forward, and will run to HR to complain about you at the first opportunity, so you just have to bite your tongue.
